Fight For You

I remember late one evening (probably half a year ago, or so) Leanne and I were talking on Facebook chat, and I has just emailed her lyrics to a song that I had written that same night, in about 45 minutes.

I'm pretty sure she is the only person to have ever read them, and, even though I'm not particularly proud of them (because they was written is such a short time), they still mean more to me than any other song I've ever penned.

I Will Fight For You - S.P.T.

As I sit in the dark
And wait for an answer
I'm getting so discouraged
Not knowing if you're there

So, I close my eyes
And wait for you to call me
I cry out you name
And I wonder if you care

But, I will fight for you
I will fight until the end
To you, I'll always be true
Because my heart, you will mend
Though time may stand still
Though tears may be shed
I will fight for you...

Because you're my best friend

I can feel the pain
As my heart is torn to pieces
But, I put a smile on my face
While I fake a happy lie

Oh, I need you now
Now more than ever
Please take all my fears away
So I no longer have to cry

And I will fight for you
I will fight until the end
To you, I'll always be true
Because my heart, you will mend
Though time may stand still
Though tears may be shed
I will fight for you...

Because you're my best friend

Then
All of the sudden
I see a light
You reach for my hand
And you hold on tight

My tears begin to fall
And I ask you to stay
You look into my eyes
And to me, you say:

I died for you
And I rose again
I will catch you when you fall
I will always be your friend
Though your time may stand still
Though your tears may be shed
I will fight for you
I will fight until the end

I will fight until the end

So, I know there are some things that are kind of 'ehhh' about this song. For example, "To you, I'll aways be true," in the first two choruses is definitely debatable: we can try to always be true, but we're not perfect. We are human.

I hate picking apart my lyrics, but they are just sitting there asking for it.

Anyhow, enjoy that little piece of work.

Movie in the city toniiiiiigghhhtt! Yay!

Okay, bye. :)
