I have had such an amazing weekend, I don't even know what to do with myself.
On Friday, I went to Mavis's house for the night - Vince was away for the weekend. We ate so much food that I almost couldn't even fall asleep!
On Saturday morning, I set up DDR for Mavis's kids, and ended up playing a lot of it myself. Mavis's kids were also able to get me onto the trampoline with them; so much fun, but SO tiring.
I left their house and arrived home at around 10:30am, and cleaned the house. Then I proceeded to fall asleep on the trampoline (what a loser), set up some deck chairs (now that it's a million degrees outside), make a fire (on which we later roasted hot dogs), and play some baseball and frisbee with my family.
On Sunday after church, my cousin Jodi came over and I made the meanest caesar salad you ever did taste. Then my family and Jodi went over to Jodi's house and spent the rest of the afternoon and evening there. Jodi and I took the four-wheeler to the track to watch some dirtbiking, then we went back home and played some volleyball. For dinner, we ordered Niakwa pizza (which, sadly, they do not deliver out in the country), and afterward, everyone took their baseball equipment and we drove to the diamonds to have a little fun. (Side note: I've pretty much played every sport in the book this weekend. Haha! Not actually, but you get the picture.) We stayed out at the diamonds until it got dark outside, and then we headed back to Jodi's for a bonfire and some marshmallow roasting.
I can honestly say that I spent more hours outside of the house than inside. And it feels goooood.
The sun tires me right out and I end up being able to fall asleep early AND sleep like a baby all night long.
Dear Summer, please stay like this all the way until September! ♥
